Kite Flying & Ugly Singaporeans!

This evening we decided to fly our kites again since we were not able to do so yesterday....  Kakak came along with us today and Daddy suggested bringing 2 kites, 2 badminton rackets and a ball...  I wonder how they are able to do so many things at one time....  haha...
we love our 2 faithful mickey mouse kites which have been with us for almost 4 years!... and everywhere we go, we will have people (both adults and kids) screaming out.... "look! mickey mouse!!"
high up in the sky without using zoom lens...  daddy flew the green while amanda & kakak flew the orange...
zoomed.....
the green mickey flew really high up compared to the orange one...
when suddenly, our orange mickey got stuck at the top of the tree!!!
daddy trying to lower the green mickey to keep it...  apparently, he said it was quite difficult to do so cos the pressure was very great up there...

Why do I say UGLY SINGAPOREANS?.....  not that we are not Singaporeans ourselves, but the attitude of all these people really irked us!

Our kite was stuck and we looked so helpless trying every means and ways to get the kite down...  Daddy even got poles, brooms, chair etc from the nearby toilet but nobody even volunteered to stop by to help, let alone ask if we needed help!  Worse still, one sickening "Aunty" laughed and shouted so loudly to her friends "give me S$10 and I will get it down for you".  We were disgusted when we heard that!

Then when we got a very long broom from the toilet and tried climbing on the chair to see if we could reach the kite, she laughed so loudly in Hokkien "Wow, they are now using a BROOM!!!"....  I turned around and gave her a hard glare but didn't dare to stare to long as I was afraid it may turn out another Downtown East incident....  so I controlled my anger.....  GGRRRHHHHH!!!  *clenches fists*

Can you imagine nobody came to our help when the park was so damn (pardon my language as we were really pissed) crowded??!!

We tried all means to get the kite down...  I tried calling NEA, National Parks etc...  Do you know what NParks told me?  "It's after office hours cos it's Sat and we work half day, so we cannot do anything to bring your kite down.  If you want, we will arrange a CRANE on Monday.  Can you please leave your name and number with us?"...  OMG!!!  They needed a CRANE!!!  How comical!!!  These staff ought to be trained!

Funnier still....  Daddy even called the POLICE!  He's crazy la...  I told him not to, but he was so stubborn and insisted....  Thank goodness the police was very patient with him and he said "Sir, we do not bring down kites"....  LOL!!!

Until one kind soul came by to ask if we needed help....  Oh....  Our Saviour!!!....  he immediately climbed up the tree without even using the chair!  Marvelous!
we were so touched by his kindness and we really gave him S$10 as a token of appreciation (aunty! come get it if you want!!)....  but at first he didn't want to accept cos he said he did it for our daughter as she would be so sad to lose a kite....  how sweet...  but we insisted he took it...  by the way, he's filipino...
daddy flying his orange mickey again...  deliberately in front of that aunty and her group of friends....  do you see some similarity between mr bean?....  lol~~~
beautiful sunset
starjump
we decided to keep our kites and play badminton
and now ball...
i was trying to capture sunset but didn't quite get it right...  this camera is just too difficult for me to handle...  i wonder how i'm going to take good pictures with this in hokkaido...
pictures taken by daddy...  daddy was worse...  he said he can't see clearly through the viewer close-up!....  omg!....  "old flower eye" has started to kick in?... like that how to use dslr?

What a dramatic evening here....  It was an eye-opener for us and Daddy said that he learnt something today...  i.e. One must learn to take care of ourselves cos when you are in need of help or in trouble, they will be no one to help you...  you;ve just got to help yourself!!...  Of course, unless you find one kind soul like us....  but then again, we were frantic for 45 mins without any help when the park was so damn crowded until this kind soul came by!!!

Imagine if someone was injured and needed help and everyone stared and made fun and passed such remarks??!!  This person would have bled to death!!
