水饺 and Mr Popper's Penguins

Last week, my little darling went over to her friend's house for a little playdate and she learnt to make dumplings (水饺) from her friend's mummy... She enjoyed the dumplings, so she memorised the ingredients she saw and repeated them to me when she got home.  She said she wants to teach Kakak how to make dumplings. Since it is still the school holidays, I thought, "Why not let her have a go?"  So off we went to get the ingredients.  I was surprised the dumplings came really delicious!  Well done, darling!
amanda showing kakak how to make dumplings...
look at her.... attentively folding the skin....
the dumplings tasted really delicious! well done amanda!

Top left 2 photos in the above collage - We went to Vivo to watch Mr Popper's Penguins tonight.  Brought Kakak along to watch the movie and she was really appreciative of our kind gesture.... She thanked us profusely and told us it was one of the most memorable movies for her as she thoroughly enjoyed the movie and lauged from the beginning to the end.... Hmm, glad that she appreciates.... :)

Fun at Home on X'mas Eve!

Amanda got all so excited when I told her I decided to let her try making pancakes today....  After spending hours in the wet kitchen, she continued sweeping the car porch.  Daddy and I were surprised when we saw her doing it.  She said she was sweeping the floor for Kakak while Kakak was busy washing up the utensils in the kitchen as Kakak had promised to play with her after she finishes her work.  Hence, Amanda decided to help Kakak out so that she could play with her earlier...  haha... so cute!
looking so eager!
3 eggs and 600ml of milk...
kakak was her assistant for the day...
amanda served the first 2 pieces to daddy....
and she continued with the rest... but seems to have lost a little patience and decided to make more pancakes at a time by using another small frying pan.... see the pan on the top left stove..
kakak helping her out...  oops, just realised from this picture, that my wet kitchen needs some tidying...  :P
kakak trying to toss the pancake...
can you see it?  it was daddy's idea to get her to toss and take a picture... haha....
all pancakes were ready...  amanda bringing out the rest to the hall...  by the way, can you see amanda had some batter on her neck?...
decided to make her smile and take another picture before telling her about it... haha...  hmmm... signs of working really hard in the kitchen huh?  :))
enjoying her "fruits of labour" with maple syrup...
she's really working very hard on a x'mas eve... hmm....  is she trying to tell santa she has been nice and not naughty?....
see....  she's really working! look at the dustpan!....

After a hard day's work for Amanda, we decided to bring her out to buy Lego...  We had actually planned to go Terminal 3 to get the Lego, but after some checks and Googling, we decided on Ngee Ann City....  Hmm... risky to go there on X'mas Eve huh?... but surprisingly, traffic was very clear!  :)))
suddenly missed hokkaido's ramen... so decided to have ramen at ajisen...
slurp slurp....
daddy decided to buy her 2 presents instead of 1...  amanda looking so happy with her 2 presents from daddy...
thank you kiss for daddy....  :)
she couldn't wait for x'mas to start building it...  hence unwrapped it before midnight....  heehee....
