I love my birthday cake this year... It's simply awesome cake! Simple celebration this year since it's the exam period...  Anyway, to me, everyday's a birthday when one is happy....

10 October... Happy 20th Wedding Anniversary

Celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary today... Simple tea time together... Just Daddy and me...

It's certainly no easy feat for a marriage to hit 20 years... We have made it! And we're looking forward to more good years to come...

17th Wedding Anniversary - 10.10.10

What a special date today.... and it has been 17 years since Daddy and I said "I DO"..... 

Time flies...  Last year, we celebrated our wedding anniversary over dinner at Raffles Hotel...  This year when Daddy asked about our anniversary dinner, I told him that it was not necessary for this year as we just had seafood buffet dinner at Shangri-La hotel 3 days ago... 

I have been eating too much since 1 October 2010, from Children's Day meals at Ah Yat Abalone and Coffee Club to my birthday celebrations at Marina Bay Sands, Swensen's and Shangri-La and all these feasting and binging, within these few days....  Phew!!  So by 10 October, I was quite sick of dining out!  Anyway, to us, everyday is our Birthday and Wedding Anniversary...  :))  heehee......  What's most important is HAPPINESS...  don't you agree?

So this year, we celebrated our anniversary in a simple and quiet manner....  After Amanda's enrichment class, we decided to have snacks at Spinelli Coffee at King Albert Park....  Our earlier intention was to try Island Creamery but when we looked at the menu, it was just ice creams and waffles....  We didn't feel like having ice creams today, so we hopped over to Spinelli, which looked more inviting to us....  :))

King Albert Park (KAP) was quite a significant location for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary today, because Daddy and I have been hanging out around KAP Mc Donalds for the past 17 years ever since we were married....  hmmm... so just sitting here brings back sweet memories for us............

Our 16th Wedding Anniversary

How time flies....  Today is our 16th Wedding Anniversary....  We chose to celebrate it over dinner at the Long Bar Steakhouse at Raffles Hotel...  A simple quiet dinner with just the 3 of us....  Amanda was so sweet... She asked both of us to go for dinner without her...  but I told her we would love to have her around even though it is our wedding anniversary and she smiled so sweetly upon hearing that...

To sidetrack a little....  On 10 October 1993 we held our Chinese customary wedding....  It was a very significant date as the Chinese call it Double 10s....  and it also happened to coincide with the 8th month of the Lunar Calendar.... so it was a double auspicious date.... 

I could still recall during our Soka Japanese-style Wedding Ceremony in the morning, I was made to drink 9 cups of Sake and Daddy 6 cups...  I was quite silly then...  I should have just taken sips of it...  instead, I gulped down all 9 cups of Sake....  Thankfully, I didn't get drunk...  Haha....  Those were the days....

A simple and quiet dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary... just the three of us.... but we definitely enjoyed the precious moments we spent together....
