Movie and Boon Tong Kee

I'm still on medical leave, but that doesn't mean life comes to a standstill for me... and for my family...  Of course, by now I do not get the excruciating pain that I experienced last Monday on my left shoulder and hand...  There's still pain and my left hand is weak, but it's still quite bearable, so I try to go out for short family outings...  We treasure family bonding a lot... so life still goes on and nothing is gonna stop us!  Haha!!!
we have been planning to watch ip man 2 for a while, but too bad, i injured my shoulder and arm and hence gotta defer till now...  12.30am show...  but i was ok since i had slept so much during the day....  we initially wanted to watch shrek but daddy says this is a good show...  :)
amanda still looking so fresh past 12 midnight....  well, she's a night bird just like us...  i recall when she was around 9 months old, we brought her out for teochew porridge supper at 1am and the shop staff asked "little girl, why are you still up at this time?"...  of course, she didn't understand what we were talking, but daddy and i giggled guiltily...  heehee....
should we watch this?  heard that it is not that good afterall...

Later that evening, we decided to have an early dinner at Cheong Chin Nam Boon Tong Kee near our house and then rest at home to watch TV at night...  Amanda was a little upset that we ate at Boon Tong Kee as she prefers the Teochew porridge over chicken rice...  It's strange for a little girl to love Teochew porridge so much...  heehee...
amanda sipping the barley and very unwillingly posed for the photo...  by the way, the lime juice rawks!...  never expected it to taste so good...  most of the time i would have gone for barley, but today, good thing i tried something different....  daddy doesn't go for drinks as he finds all these sweet and unhealthy, so it will always be plain water for him, not even chinese tea....

my favourite youtiao with wasabi mayo sauce...  can you see amanda's hand already trying to pinch the food?...
half roast chicken...  we are surprised that they have included roast chicken these days, but they sell out real fast...

We recall many years back (before we had Amanda) when we tried Boon Tong Kee for the first time, we asked for Roast Chicken instead of White Hainanese Chicken and we ended up kena "SUAN" from them as they said Hainanese Chicken rice was their specialty and here we are asking for Roast Chicken... and they were like "NO roast chicken, only WHITE chicken!"...

Oh yes, something funny happened when we were eating the roast chicken...  as the plate of chicken was almost 3-quarter eaten, I found a strand of hair, and immediately called the waitress to show them "the hair"... and guess what??!!....  They went to the kitchen and came out apologising to us with another plate of half chicken!!!  OMG!!...  So was it a good thing or bad thing that we found "the hair"??....  *giggles wickedly*....  Answer's quite obvious right?  Daddy of course was elated!....  Hahaha!!

our steam sliced garoupa with black fungus and gei ji....  very nice....
look at their "pyramid" chicken rice...  i was trying to figure out how they got the shape...  so it is the ladle/scoop that they use to scoop out the rice....
and we finished everything on the plate!!!
amanda having fun with the "boomerang" we bought from the petrok kiosk...

Daddy felt feverish after dinner and was sleeping while I was resting as my shoulder started to feel painful again....  So Amanda ended up playing "boomerang" and role play with my helper... and later watching TV... Luckily she has Kakak to keep her company....

When Daddy was feeling better closer to bedtime, he played LEGO with her...  family bonding again...  :)

it's lego time!!!
and they built this...  daddy says it's man u versus everton (i know nuts about soccer)...haha....
