YEAH!!! Exams are finally over!!! So to reward Amanda, I brought her out for some snacks while Daddy was busy working.... I decided to bring her for Macarons at Choupinette at Bukit Timah Road.... French macarons were yummy and setting in the restaurant was great... However, service wasn't up to my expectation..... Come to think of it, profit margin is quite good for macarons, since one piece costs S$1.80 (before 10% service charge)... This plate of goodies below costs around S$16.00 excluding my hot cuppa freshly brewed coffee.... and it took us only minutes to finish the entire plate of goodies.... perhaps we should have slowly savoured each bite we took.... haha!!
it's time for macarons at choupinette.... amanda didn't quite like the macarons but i definitely love it.... mmmm..... instead, she loves the fruit tarts; but only the fruits on the tarts ah.....

i ended up eating most of the macarons... amanda only took a bite of each colour and finished all the fruits on the tarts within minutes leaving the pastry to me.... so can you imagine, it was me who ate the pastry too?....
After the macaroons, we hopped over to Sogurt next door for yogurt.... We love the concept there, where you get to mix and match your own variety of yogurt and toppings and weigh it accordingly.... If you want to go there, please make sure the kids wear their school uniforms, cos kids in uniforms get 20% discount... If students are not dressed in uniforms, but produce their student pass instead, they only get a 10% discount... so.... remember to wear your uniforms! You get a better deal out of it!!.... heehee....
the pretty chay chay showing amanda how to use the machine....
she chose strawberry for herself, and added a little cookies n cream for me to try.... i didn't order for myself as i was still quite full from the macaroons, tarts and coffee...
hmmm... what toppings should i choose?
she chose lots of fruits, which made it cost more... fruits tend to be heavier than nuts... and can you imagine she chose watermelons, grapes, berries & honeyed sea coconut etc?....
we are reminded to "watch our weight".... heehee... so got to constantly weigh the cup in order not to get a shock when paying the bill.... but we didn't weigh la... since it's supposed to be a celebration for amanda's last paper, i let her choose whatever she wants.... such a good and doting mummy right?.... :))
amanda's creation, which costs S$7.50.....
an elated amanda.... she must have been sooo relieved that exams are over!
benefits of yogurt...
And back home.... it's relaxation time.... Amanda's favourite.... PAINTING.....
