Today marks the last day of school and thus wrapping up Semester 1... Amanda was so elated when the Prefect Headmistress told her she was selected to receive the IDEAL Award this term.... The award she is getting is for Helpfulness.... Oh well, yes, Amanda is indeed and has always been quite helpful since she was a kid... I can never forget her nursery teacher telling us that she will help other kids tie their shoelaces which got them so irritated... haha....
So today, she wore her full school uniform and proudly went on stage to receive the badge during assembly....

amanda was very proud to wear it and she refused to take it off even when she went for her "make-up" enrichment class..... can you imagine she changed out of her full school uniform in school, into her pe attire for gym, and yet she still pinned all the badges on her....
brought her to subway for dinner before her class starts... this is amanda's first time eating a subway sandwich, though she simply loves their cookies... :)
we shared a 1-foot long tuna sandwich on honey oat bread... look at amanda picking out the tomatoes and pickles....

bought some cherries from cold storage after her class... and daddy bought 8 navel oranges (no pictures)... the cherries were quite expensive compared to fairprice finest at bt timah (S$16.90), and each orange costs S$1.50.....

Amanda also received her results and report card... She got 6th in class... Not bad at all! I am pleased that she has improved from her CA1, especially English and Maths... from Band 2 to Band 1 above 90!!! Her Chinese has slackened a little but nevertheless still above 90 too.... Woohooo.... *pats myself on the back*.... Hey common, it's hard work on Mummy you know... and I sacrificed my Mother's Day Dinner and also almost vomitted blood during the weekend too... But it was well worth it and her results is the greatest Mother's Day gift for me!!!
It's really not easy to balance a demanding job with high level of responsibility and extensive travelling; yet at the same time ensuring Amanda gets reasonably good results for her exams.... I'm a SUPA MAMA!!!..... hahaha!!!
Well done Amanda... Daddy and Mummy are very proud of you!
Keep up the good work and make sure no more careless mistakes for SA2 ok?.... Measuring using the wrong side of the ruler in INCHES instead of CM and also 27/3 = 8 is NOT ACCEPTABLE for SA2.....

she came home one day with a nonya dumpling... i asked her how come she only came home with one and she told me teacher had asked them to place order 2 weeks ago but she forgot to tell me... so the next day when teacher asked for the money, she took out S$2.50 from her wallet and ordered one dumpling since she didn't have much cash with her that day... haha... i smiled when she told me that... at least she still managed to order one for herself eventhough she forgot to ask me for money.... *smiles*....

amanda collected her class photos today... we ordered all 3 photos but have only uploaded 1 into this post... all the prefects have not collected their ties... those wearing ties are class monitors and those wearing scarf is the sheriff.... can you spot amanda?.......
