Universal Studios Again...

Today will be our 4th visit to Universal Studios....  wow, we are really maximising our Annual Pass!....
we dropped by dbs treasures before heading to universal studios....  amanda enjoyed the drinks and our relationship manager even gave her 2 cans of drinks to bring to universal studios...  hahaha...
shoe polishing?....  :))
world's greatest daughter and student.....
lunch at mel's drive-in....  it was a late lunch as we arrived there around 2pm....
amanda had chicken burger and i ordered for her "worm in the mud" dessert...  i thought the name sounds quite cute....  :)
close-up view of the worms in the mud....
my spicy beef burger meal...
daddy decided to have veggie burger after eating so much meat at seoul garden yesterday....
we expected all veg, but were astonished to see what was inside...  so it was veg made into a pattie....
juke box...
a group photo with the a-go-go dancers....

The purpose of this outing was to make up for the shows that we missed...  So after lunch, we watched The Monsters Rock which we missed during the last trip...  We got so excited and rushed for the first row...  OMG we were in for a great TREAT!....  The show has loud sounds with pyrotechnics, and every now and then, we had fireworks right in front of us!...  Great for those adventurous, but for Amanda and I, our hearts nearly popped out!...  and to make things worse, the MC for the show looked at me at the beginning of the show and told me I am going to have a great time...  and he went like heeheehee....  and true enough, the Dracula came down the stage and tried to "bite" my hand...  and his hands were really cold....   eeerrr....

can you see the madagascar ship behind amanda?
the madagascar tree from afar...
zoomed in... can you see the aeroplane stuck there?.....
family photo...  a tourist volunteered to take for us... but a pity he took too far and our faces are so small....

we managed to watch the interactive donkey show which we missed the other time....  everyone said it was good and not to be missed....
before entering the mini theatre....
amanda's favourite "treasure hunters"...
she simply enjoys "driving" it....
amanda taking the "accelerator" ride with daddy....
lights, camera and action by steven spielberg...  we gave this a miss today, since we had already watched it the other time we were here....

We didn't stay in the park for too long today... and we quickly left before the peak hour traffic...  It was a very relaxing outing and we didn't have to rush for any rides...  Our mentality was like, ok if we can't take the ride today, then another time!....  hahaha...  that's the advantage of the Annual Pass....  *smiles*....

Oohh, I can't wait for one of the Madagascar ride to open in a few weeks' time (heard it's some kind of water ride).... while Daddy cannot wait to take the CYCLONE rollercoaster....  *laughs wickedly*....

Jingmei's Birthday Party

Another birthday party for Amanda today...  This time, she is attending Jingmei's Birthday Party at eXplorer Kids at Downtown East...  how fun and what a way to start her June hols?!!
the invitation card...  criteria to enter this place....  MUST WEAR SOCKS....  hahaha...
pressie for jingmei...
we walked around for a bit as it was still early...  saw cristofori music school..  amanda wanted to try holding a violin in her hands....
and a small guitar....

at the entrance...  didnt get a good shot of it as amanda was too eager to get inside...
amanda and the birthday girl beside her, and another fellow prefect behind her....

The card indicated 6pm to 8pm...  However, when we dropped her there, Jingmei's mummy said to fetch after 9pm...  Daddy and I stared at each other...  Oh no, what are we going to do for the next 3 hours??!...  So what else can be better than to go for buffet dinner??....  hahahaha....

So off we were, for our date...  Korean Buffet dinner at Seoul Garden....  Daddy and I have not been to Seoul Garden for at least more than 10 years.....

i was so surprised at how advanced restaurants are these days...  and i love their system...  all you need is to "click" and your food will be served within 10 minutes....
"starters" which was served by default...  marinated  meat....
we didn't touch these as nobody comes to a korean bbq steamboat buffet to eat these....  :)
the sliced beef was excellent!!!
daddy looked really happy!....  reliving those good ole days when we were dating and having bbq buffet....
daddy's expression was like "huh? such a "LARGE" prawn!!"...  haha...  but what can you expect...  less than S$30 after tax for buffet with free flow of drinks and desserts.....
mmm...  i love the beef... and i enjoyed the root beer too, especially when you are having bbq food...  haven't drank this for some time...
actually the prawns were not that small la...  it was only that particular prawn and daddy asked me to take a picture of it for him....
my favourite beef bibimbap...
vegetables and mushrooms...
we couldn't resist another serving of beef...  afterall, this was healther than those marinated ones...
octopus...
we felt guilty after eating so much meat... and hence...  a pot full of mushrooms... heehee....
the cakes were lovely...  especially the choc walnut brownie...  the white fungus was nice too...  daddy also likes the almond longan (didn't take any photo of it)....
ice cream....  we were too full to try other desserts...

Time flies so quickly and soon it was almost 9pm...  we asked for the bill and The Happy Couple, went upstairs to fetch our little darling, to form a Happy Family...

Amanda was still happily playing when we arrived...  Her friends told us to wait a while as it was her turn for the rock climbing...  guess she must be having so much fun playing...

amanda and hilary...  we saw gracia and wanted to take a picture for them but she had to leave all of a sudden....
checking out their goody bag... and some barter trade between them too...  heehee...
and finally... a picture of where daddy and i had our dinner date....  we forgot to take a picture of the entrace earlier...  :))
