New Year's Eve and Fire Engine LEGO

Amanda has recovered from her fever and we can't wait to bring her out for a meal. We felt so imprisoned for the past 2 days when she was running a high fever and couldn't get out...  So today, we went to Crystal Jade at Ngee Ann City for lunch.
2 bowls of fish porridge for daddy and i... and 1 bowl of beef porridge for amanda...
my favourite soya bean milk...
we were entitled to a free lucky draw because we used hsbc card... and we won a complimentary box of christmas cupcake!!
we were surprised that it was a box of 6 cupcakes instead of just 1 piece...
close-up shot of cupcake using my dslr...

On another note, Amanda's Fire Engine LEGO from Santa was completed.  Since it was a 3-in-1 Creator, Daddy and Amanda decided to build a Jeep instead of the Fire Engine...
thank you santa for this lovely gift!  *winks*

My Little Darling is Sick...

It has been a while since Amanda had a fever.  I recall the last time she had one was in June 2009 and the last time we consulted a doctor for fever was 2007...  WOW that was a really long time.....
Amanda stayed over at Kongkong/Mama's house yesterday to play with Darren and when I was about to fetch her from Mama's house this morning, Mama told me that Amanda was running a fever and was not able to get out of bed...  Poor thing...  She was supposed to attend a girls' gathering at her friend's house and now she is not able to....  sob sob....

As usual, I decided to self-medicate since her fever was only 38.3 deg cel in the afternoon...  but it rose to 39.3 deg cel at night and we decided to then send her to KKH A&E.  However, I had a shock of my life when the nurse read out her temperature to me....  It had risen to 40.9 deg cel!!!!!!!!!!!  OMG I was frantic as this is the first time her fever had gone so high!!  I was praying hard that she wouldn't develop a fit...  worse still, I was afraid her brain would be damaged!  With such a high temperature, she was given immediate attention and was given a med and a cold shower.
my poor little darling looking and feeling so sick, before going to hospital...
daddy bought kaya bread for her as she used to love it, but unfortunately she had totally no appetite... so mummy ended up eating it....
cold shower at kkh....
after consultation and while waiting for medication...

Amanda felt giddy for 2 days and also vomitted several times, probably because she was trying to clear the phlegm...  but with regular medication, constant sponging and TLC, her fever subsided within 2 days and we were able to go out for our "makan" again on New Year's Eve....
all ready to go out on 31 dec 2010...  we were so happy her fever had subsided...

All of us are so happy that she recovered in time to usher in 2011..... :))

Fish & Co and PE Attire

Amanda and I went to Fish & Co for a quick lunch before bringing her to school to get her yellow file and student handbook which were out of stock in November.  At the same time, I decided to get her 2 sets of new PE attire since she had outgrown her old shorts a little and 2 out of her 3 PE tees didn't look too new by now.  Bought her new socks too (but ended up with the wrong size as I had intended to get a size larger than her current)... but no exchange for socks so she's just got to wear it for the next few months till I get her new ones in June...
what a way to serve sugar for my coffee...  FAIL!  haha...
in school...  only managed to buy the yellow file and student handbook...

LEGO Christmas House

Daddy and Amanda couldn't wait to complete their 3rd house.  So eager were they that they managed to complete it in less than 2 days!
