Melbourne Day 7

Today was R&R for Daddy and us, and we decided to make a trip to Direct Factory Outlet (DFO) at South Wharf since all of Daddy's colleagues say it is a MUST to visit this place...

Before we went to DFO, we brought Daddy to Victoria Market to take a look...  he didn't quite like the place though....
at the tram stop while waiting for the tram
here comes the tram
it was drizzling, so the hood came in handy
a mobile doughnut kitchen...  how interesting!
After Victoria Market, we took a City Tram to the nearest station of South Wharf and walked to the convention centre.  As I said, the Aussies are just so used to walking and when we asked for directions, they said "Oh yea, it's just round the corner...  just a short distance..  about 20 minutes walk"....  Haha...  and can you imagine, we took 30 minutes to reach there??!!  We will never do that in Singapore!!  Probably due to the hot and humid weather in Singapore too....  You'll melt the moment you step out of the house...  LOL!!!

Anyway, DFO was a disappointment.  We didn't get anything there, except for Daddy, who managed to get a down feather vest for Hokkaido trip...  hehehe.....  As for us, whatever, whatever they had it there, we saw them in town too...  and at the SAME PRICE!!!  Just wondering what kind of Factory Outlet this is...  haiz....
phew!! after walking through so many halls of the convention centre and walking pass hyatt hotel, we finally caught sight of DFO....  wow!!!  we were so excited (that was before we stepped in and realised the disappointment la)...
we were exhausted after the long walk... and decided to have subway before walking the malls...  we were quite disappointed that we couldn't find a decent restaurant in the mall...  hmmm...  so is this the "outlet" style?....  or maybe we didn't search enough, as we only covered the "fashion" wing i.e. one third of the mall and we left the place...  amanda and i were just too tired to walk any more....
melbourne's famous crown casino
my favourite shot of the south wharf using my dummy camera... not bad huh?.... can you see the crescent in the middle?
in the tram.. can you see daddy's kathmandu vest in the bag?
back to the same restaurant for dinner...  i ordered iced tea today...
i ordered the wrong dish...  ordered beef hor fun... but when they asked me if i wanted dry or wet, i said dry....  so it turned out to be fried kuay teow....
sushi for supper in the hotel...
a photo of meeee before i change out of the clothes
amanda and i both wearing matching "monkey" sweater we bought from perth last year...  i wore this to sleep throughout the entire trip and it kept me really warm...
"feasting" on drinks again... while we watched another movie...  i think we watched "predators"...  i wasn't too sure as i don't fancy violent shows so amanda watched it with daddy while i was on fb...  haha....
cheers!
daddy trying out his vest...  doesn't he look like TEENAGE mutant ninja turtle?....  but for him, i should call him "OLDAGE" mutant ninja turtle...  LOL!!!!
