It was a very relaxing Day 5 for us as we explored Melbourne city via the City Circle Tram.... We had wanted to go to the Great Ocean Drive but then we were told by Joan that this week isn't a good time since this week has been a rainy week and also the weather's rather cold (for Spring time)... Moreover, we were worried that Amanda may throw up since it's gonna be a winding drive.... However, she mentioned that the next time we come to Melbourne, she will take us there as they've got a villa there which overlooks the ocean.... wow, how lovely!
saw this shop with my sis's name, so decided to take a picture of the signboard... heehee...
inside the tram...
Below are snapshots of Melbourne city taken by Daddy in the moving tram and through the glass window.... :)) Enjoy!
amanda got so sleepy after a while, especially since we didn't get off the tram (too lazy to get off since we were comfortably seated)....
we got to know a fellow singaporean, alex, whilst on the tram... it's just so easy to identify a singaporean overseas.... heehee....
We finally got off the tram at Bourke Street and went back to Wonton House for a snack.... it has somehow become our favourite restaurant...
beef kway teow... i had wanted to order the beef hor fun but when she asked me dry or wet, i said dry instead of wet.... aiya, silly me...
daddy's favourite duck congee and pig trotters.... as usual, daddy ate 2 servings....
and amanda ordered her favourite fish congee once again....
Daddy went back to the uni for a short meeting while Amanda and I went for part 2 while waiting for him... Snacking and shopping..... wheeee......
we were very full but couldn't resist the choc muffins.... so we shared.... haha....
we saw this car being wheel-clamped for illegal parking... it's been a few days yet nobody has come to claim it....
daddy was attracted to the chom(p) chom(p) and asked me to take a picture for him....
while i was attracted to the bubble tea... and amanda was attracted to the octopus... so we went back to the old town cafe to get it.... mmm... yummy....
amanda enjoying her octopus...
we love the orange juice we bought from woolworths.... there were so many brands and we chose this brand, because of the words "nothing but 21 oranges" and "farm to bottle in 72 hours".... haha.... so their marketing gimmick works on us!!!... :)) but anyway, the juice was really great... and wasn't exceptionally sweet as well.....
And back to the hotel room, we enjoyed our snacks of octopus, potato chips, cookies etc and were sipping orange juice, Schweppes etc.... while enjoying their in-house movie....
What a relaxing way to end Day 5.... This trip has been an entirely different experience for us as we had entirely no stress, no time constraint... This trip was purely rest and relax and shopping for Amanda and myself.... It wasn't too bad for Daddy too, since he only had to work a few hours a day and was able to meet us in between every now and then.....
