I had to make a trip to Hong Kong for work purposes from 2 June to 5 June 2010.... I had a strange feeling this trip as I was very reluctant to leave my family behind... probably it was because I had been on 2 weeks' medical leave and have grown very attached to my little darling once again... the same feeling I felt when I first went back to the workforce in January this year, but I slowly got used to it....
BUT.... something brightened my morning the moment I stepped out of the house....
A white Mercedes Limou cab greeted me at my doorstep and I was in for a comfortable ride to the airport.... :)) How lucky to get the limou cab without paying extra for it!!!

brekkie before departure at coffee bean in terminal 3....
I was lucky that the SQ flight to HK today was on an A380... my first time sitting the A380... The other time we flew to Europe as a family, we missed the A380 as our first stop was Paris instead of London... and back then in December 2008, A380 only flew to London and SQ flight to Paris wasn't on A380 until a few months later....
seat plan of A380... double decked, and i chose to sit on the upper deck... :))
on the upper deck... almost everyone was taking photos in the A380... heehee... the flight stewardess was very sweet, she volunteered to take a few photos of me too... :))
Departure was supposed to be 9.45 am... However, by 10.30 am, the plane was still on the runway, waiting for take-off... Sigh... the delay has caused my entire schedule to be disrupted.... My first appointment started at 3 pm... However, the flight landed in Hong Kong at 2 pm... and I had to take the shuttle train to the immigration, clear immigration and by the time I collected my luggage, it was almost 3 pm!! OMG!!! I had my appointments fixed back to back and one of my colleagues was so sweet to get me a sandwich... so by 5.30 pm, I couldn't take it any longer, I paused for a 5 minute break to gobble my sandwich, and then continue with my schedule.... phew!
dinner time... i was totally shagged by then....
our iced coffee and iced tea... i love the way they serve it... good idea.. keeps it cold, without diluting the drink!....
my hk colleague....
my breakfast... yummy... but i think i ordered the wrong one, as the previous time my colleague ordered for me, it came with veg... doesn't taste quite nice without the veg though....
lunch with my hk colleagues....
my favourite dessert...
i went back to the same restaurant in tst for this noodle... but it doesn't taste as nice as the previous time... too dry and seasoning was very uneven....
brekkie the next day sucks... i ordered the wrong bun....
Had noodles for lunch with 3 of my colleagues.... That store used to be my favourite noodle store 2 years ago and I would frequent the store during each work trip... Haven't eaten this noodle for 2 years.... pork liver kuay teow in sour and spicy soup base.... hmmmm.... absolutely heavenly.... I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into it that I forgot to take a picture of it....
dinner with ex-colleague.... she ordered the above...
my dinner... mmmm....
After dinner, I met up with another ex-colleague at Panash Bakery & Cafe in Harbour City for a cuppa coffee.... Her treat this time as she said she was returning my treat when she was in Singapore... hahaha!!!
panesh serves very good cakes....
we ordered american cheese cake, which was ubber yummilicious.....
salmon salad.....
thanks for your treat, kan!.... french macaroons on me next time!....
i bought this cheese cake from circle k convenience store... quite nice....
burger king breakfast at hk airport while waiting for my flight back to singapore....
a smaller flight today, but plane was brand new.... and all upholstery in beige and brown to match the business class suites.... very classy....
home sweet home....
It was so nice to be back home... but I was astonished to see my little darling full of polka dots on her face! Apparently she had like 18 mosquito bites on her face and body. I initially counted 12 but it turned out to be 18 when I applied aloe vera gel for her at bedtime....
Alrighty... it's now time for family bonding again..... We will be going to Universal Studios again... this time, for Madagascar!!! YIPPIE!!!
