Today marks the last day of the school holidays and it's back to school tomorrow... How time flies.. Nothing exciting during this June holiday since we didn't even bring Amanda anywhere for trips because of my busy work schedule; let alone Malaysia for an overnight stay... *guilty*.... However, Amanda wasn't the least disappointed when I asked her if she felt sad she didn't go anywhere this holiday... Well, at least she enjoyed all her weekends with us, including all the Universal Studio trips!... haha...
I bought some eyeliner and nail polish when I was shopping in Orchard this morning and when Amanda saw it, she wanted to try them... I allowed, since I wanted her to be more girlish and not so tomboyish...
she's learning fast from mummy.... the art of camwhoring... heehee..
We went to Muthu's Flavours at Dempsey for lunch...
can you see amanda's sweet pink nail polish?...
apparently amanda was given a kiddy dora plate....
today we decided to order rice and romali roti for a change, instead of the usual naan....
the romali roti is huge!.... S$5 per piece....
a fussy amanda... she's cleaning off the curry which had dripped around the plate...
it's 4 times the size of daddy's large face?... haha...
amanda enjoys the fish head curry....
look at her putting curry on her papadum...
close up view of her painted nails.....
amanda and mummy....
deep in thoughts....
dipping into the curry again...
trying to eat the indian muslim way.... use your hands campaign...
getting into the car.... going home for a nap... gosh... i'm slowly getting into the habit of napping... oh dear, this is bad....
daddy and amanda enjoying their bonding time (after our nap)...
aaawww..... so blissful....
a family photo before dinner is ready....
ONE LAST FLING!!!
We decided to have durian as dessert after dinner.... We didn't want to eat there so we packed it instead since we wanted to catch Mr Bean on Channel 5. We have always passed by the durian stall along Bukit Timah Road just after 5th Avenue, but have never had the chance to stop... so today Daddy suggested trying their durians...
durian lingers.... quite a disappointment cos there are not so many durians around... geylang seems better and cheaper....
their pricing was on the high side, at least i thought.... S$24/kg, S$15/kg, S$12/kg & S$10/kg.... if i recall correctly, their mao shan wang costs S$24/kg... omg, that's very expensive... imagine paying S$60+ for a durian?.....
we couldn't decide which to choose... so ended up taking durian 101.... haha... i didn't know durian also comes in101... i thought only beijing 101.... not cheap too.... S$12/kg... and our durian cost us S$28.00....
daddy watching the guy weigh the durian...
amanda watching the uncle pack the durian....
amanda carrying her durian and happily walking to the car....
unwrapping.... mmm.... can't wait to sink our teeth into it....
our durian.... colour looks good... tastes ok too, but not really worth S$28.... i've tried nicer ones in geylang which cost cheaper....
she enjoyed the durians while watching tv....
It was already 10 pm and she hasn't started packing her school bag for school the next day... I had to start screaming before she started packing... Guess she must have lost the momentum to do anything serious after the 1 month break....
kakak helping amanda to search for her 2B workbooks and helping to pack her bag...
Enough of relaxation and enjoyment.... It's now back to school Baby!!!
