We had earlier planned for our old maid to leave on 16 March (Tuesday) and I had bought her air ticket to Jakarta... However, on Sunday night around 11pm, she turned hysterical and quite violent and started shouting at me and questioning me why I wanted to cancel her work permit and why I couldn't send her to Batam instead of Jakarta... Daddy was so worried that we would get into a scuffle.... actually the whole scene was quite drama.. and very traumatic for me... Amanda was however, very very excited when she witnessed what happened...
I explained to her that I had to terminate her work permit by Monday, Tuesday as the new maid had already been in Singapore for a while and needed to go for her thumbprint, failing which she will have to be deported... and she cannot do so now, because I have not cancelled the old maid's permit.... Things turned ugly and she started crying hysterically and went back to her room.... I went over to the maid's room and guess I saw?.... BOTH maids were crying!!!! OMG!!! I asked why the new maid was crying... she told me she saw the old one cry and so she cried... haizz.... can die man....
So I had to counsel and pacify both of them in a diplomatic, cool and calm manner i.e. calm the new maid and settle the old maid amicably.... haha... remember my profession???.... I'm putting it to good use domestically.... haha.... so immediately at midnight I had to text my boss to apply for urgent leave on 15 March and arrange to send the old maid back... I was being very kind and acceded to her request.... story's a little long to explain in this post....

she looked sad... but not because she was sad to leave us, but because she got played out and ended up being jobless without an employer at the point of departure... this is called cause and effect... for lying and cheating me.... first she said she was going hongkong to work and i even thought of buying her winter coat... then next she said she had a german employer in singapore... and suddenly, a chinese employer called me for reference check... sigh... all a pack of lies!!! anyway, boy am i glad that she's gone... i've been keeping a liar in my house for almost 3 years!!!
the new maid was so sentimental and tears rolled down her cheeks at point of old maid's departure...

daddy ordered these for me when i was on the phone with my colleague... it was way too little for my current huge appetite...
anyway, we continued with part 2 of our supper back home... yummilicious hilton cheese cake... mmmmm.....

bought this pair of converse canvas shoes for babe today together with 2 pairs of socks; a pink and an orange pair.... amanda simply loves her shoes...
The next day, I had to bring the new maid to her agent for thumbprint at MOM.... guess who we met outside Raymond Maids?... Sara and her Mum???!!!! Haha... we always seem to bump into each other... we met at KBox, Daddy saw her Daddy when they went for a launch at Keppel Bay and now outside the maid agency....
Had to leave the maid there for the whole day and Daddy had to work... so I brought Amanda shopping and lunch... took the opportunity to bond with her since I have been so tied up since Jan this year....

Actually at home she had already told me she wanted to give me a treat and she started counting her money... seemed like she had less than S$30 in her wallet... It was so funny, because when I ordered the food, she was quite worried and mumbled to herself if she had enough money to pay...
Little did she know that I had secretly stuffed in another S$10 note into her wallet without her noticing when I made her walk to the counter to ask for the bill... haha.... and she didn't even realise it when she had money to pay for the bill... :)))
the joy she felt when giving me a treat... and the joy i felt when my babe is giving me a treat... eventhough it's my money la... lol!!... babe was so sweet.... after paying she told me "mummy, i am so happy... i am giving you a treat for the very first time"..... *smiles*.....

I was busy on the phone with my office colleague when I started wondering why she had gone all so quiet... and when I was off the hook, guess what I saw??!!.........

she was fast asleep with a fever of 37.6 deg cel.... poor babe... bad mummy... i didn't even realise she was having a fever and didn't even realise she had taken a towel to sponge herself.... all i knew she was having a runny nose... :((
