Amanda's First Butter Cookies Baking Adventure

It was an impromptu baking session.... I finally bought an oven this morning when I went Orchard shopping with Amanda.... so after lunch, I told her we would be baking Butter Cookies today! I googled for the recipe and found an appropriate one, and bought the ingredients accordingly as I did my grocery shopping with Amanda and my domestic helper... At the same time, I bought her some fanciful cookie cutters.... Her baking adventure began around 4pm....

sifting the flour and baking powder...
her new toys....adding sugar to butter....my new mixer which i bought 3 weeks ago but only opened the box today.... decided to buy a cheap one first as i wasn't sure if my interest in baking will last.....adding egg yolk and vanilla essence to butter & sugar....mummy giving a little assistance in mixing the flour to the butter & sugar....amanda trying her hands at the dough....cutting into shapes...and she's really good at it! i showed her how to do it and she actually did a better job than me!amanda looking so attentive.....the well defined, nicely shaped ones were done by amanda.... well done!and it's ready for baking!!!amanda eagerly putting the tray into the oven...
After 10 minutes, the entire kitchen was filled with buttery aroma which i simply love.... and by 18 minutes.... yummy butter cookies was ready!!!
yeah! butter cookies is now ready... we took out 5 pieces... 1 for me and the other 4 for herself.... and the verdict.... our little tester says GOOD!!!and we started taking all of them out from the oven and transferring them to the plates.....

Daddy come home and tasted the cookies and said it was YUMMY!!! We brought some cookies for Kevin, Raymond, Diana and Jason to try during class too.... However, only Kevin and Raymond got to try as Diana and Jason were not present... Amanda was so sweet... she actually packed a few separate cookies for Diana to bring back to Jason as he was injured and could not attend the class.... Kevin & Raymond said the cookies were YUMMY too!

Amanda has not forgotten her beloved MaMa and KongKong too.... She packed 15 pieces of cookies to bring over to MaMa & GongGong's house tomorrow morning and cousin Darren will get to taste it too....
She's now so into baking that she told me that she wanted to make Char Siew Pau next.... so cute..... *smiles*
