Pot Luck Dinner At Jason's & Diana's House

It was so sweet of Jason and Diana to invite us to their house....  It was a Pot Luck Dinner and we brought Fried Chicken Wings and my specialty dish, Chicken Glutinous Rice...  No photos of the food as I had forgotten to take a picture of it....

We met Justene and her hubby for the first time.... very nice couple and very fun-loving....  Amanda totally adored Justene and her little tricks, games and techniques.....  and she is so looking forward to hear from Justene on the casting....
can you guess her various expressions?
a group photo before we left.... a pity edwin and his wife have already gone home...
we were supposed to make funny faces... apparently only 4 of us did... the other 5 did not follow instructions....  haha....  :)

It was an enjoyable gathering and we had so much fun and laughter at Jason's and Diana's house....

Thanks for your invitation and hospitality Jason & Diana!

Lunch With Mummy....

Daddy was busy today, so I brought Amanda out for shopping and lunch after her Sunday enrichment class....  Amanda chose Jack's Place for lunch....

she enjoyed the soup and garlic bread....

her steak was yummy too... and she finished all of the steak and veg...  fries untouched....

 and it's dessert time!

Babe enjoyed herself so much.... except the last part when she accompanied me shopping for my own stuff.... probably she was tired cos she slept in the car during our journey home and could not be woken up....  My helper had to carry her all the way up to the room where she slept for another 4 hours....  Poor Babe...  she must be really really tired....  no wonder she was pulling a long face and dragging her feet towards the end of our outing....

Great Grandma's 96th Birthday

We celebrated Ah Zou's 96th Birthday today at Ah Yat Abalone....  It was quite a big group....  a total of 5 tables...

Amanda gave Ah Zou (Daddy's Grandma) a bouquet of red roses with tiny pink carnations and Ah Zou was elated to receive the flowers!

a bouquet of red roses and pink carnations for ah zou....

amanda getting ready to go for the dinner with the bouquet of flowers...  note the red packet at the corner....  but ah zou refused to accept all our red packets......

amanda presenting the bouquet of flowers to ah zou.... ah zou was taken by surprise and she kept saying "this is so funny...." and that she feels funny holding the flowers.... but deep inside, all of know she is enjoying it....  :)

And our SUPERSTAR for tonight.......

we were like a group of paparazzis following her around and these pictures were taken secretly and without her knowledge and consent....  ah zou doesn't like to take pictures these days....  reason?.... she's got pigmentation on her face, so she says she doesn't look good.... heehee....  she's so cute....

It was a great time for get-together and Daddy felt so relaxed tonight.... Everyone enjoyed the food.... and most importantly, Ah Zou was very HAPPY!!!

PHPPS Mid Autumn Festival 2009

We bought tickets to Amanda's school's Mid Autumn Festival Celebration....  Babe was of course most excited about it!  Today, school was for only 2 hours and the kids were dismissed from school, giving the kids time to go home and get changed... and also giving the school some time to make the necessary preparations....

amanda showing off her guess logo at the back of the skirt....  i bought this skirt for her 3 years ago and it was too loose...  and finally she is able to wear it for the first time today....

the art of tea making.....

and slowly she met more of her classmates....

lots of games to play.....

and more pictures with her classmates......

amanda taking a picture with the school principal.....

 and more photos....

this picture was taken by the school's photographer....  actually the principal took a family photo for us too... but it didn't turn out too well, so i did not put it up....
after this picture taken, the principal also personally brought us to the popcorn stall....  and we also gave our support....  very cheap...  only S$1 per packet....

amanda with her kindergarten classmate... by the way, 2 of them were the master of ceremony representing their class for their school's graduation concert....

 another of amanda's kindergarten classmate....

 amanda and her lantern....

 look at our lovely lanterns!

 aren't our lanterns lovely?!

The Mid Autumn Festival Celebration was very well organised and we enjoyed ourselves very much albeit the super hot weather....  It was also a time where all the parents met and chat....  It was really fun!

By the way, I am very unhappy about the quality of my photographs....  paid so much for the camera when it was first launched only to get such poor effects now....  Something's really wrong with my camera.....  I am seriously thinking of getting a new camera....  Oh dear....  I seem to be changing a new camera every 2 years.....  :((

Tea Time at Swenson's!!!

School ended early at 3pm today...  After fetching Amanda from school, I brought her to Swenson's for Tea Time....  I had actually planned to bring her to Ben & Jerry's but school was dismissed later than 3pm and it was a little rush since we had to be back at school for the Mid Autumn Festival in the evening.

amanda ordered a mr big smile....

it was yummy!!!

It was yummy and Amanda enjoyed the ice cream so much!

what's inside the box?....  it's a secret...  can't show yet....  hush hush....

The package was huge and really heavy....  no wonder our shipping charges amounted to almost USD150......  haha!!!...  but it was really worth it....

Mahjong With KongKong & MaMa

We had to attend a funeral wake, so KongKong and MaMa came over to our house, parked their car here and four of us went in our car....  Amanda stayed at home and waited eagerly for our return....  The moment we came home, guess what Amanda got KongKong and MaMa to play with her??

It's MAHJONG!!!

amanda showing her mini mahjong set to kongkong & mama... and three of them started playing a few rounds....  kongkong & mama were quite impressed with amanda....

and some new zealand mussells....
we actually had buffet dinner at the wake... so the mussells were snacks for kongkong & mama... and they enjoyed them... as for amanda, of course she did!!!  daddy and i gave it a miss today....

Soon it was time for KongKong & MaMa to go home as MaMa wanted to catch her favourite show and at the same time, she was waiting for Ee Ee to send Darren over after the wake service...

Daddy suddenly felt quite hungry and decided to go Old Town Coffee for supper....

 my favourite coffee.....

amanda could still eat 2 eggs after gobbling down so many mussells....  :)  i love their eggs too....

We enjoyed the food at OLD TOWN COFFEE..... and this marks the end of the Hari Raya Puasa long weekend.....   :)

It's PIANO Time!

Amanda's first PIANO lesson was when she was 18 months old...  but sadly, it lasted for only a few months... as I didn't have the patience to attend it with her every week....  Then when she was able to take lessons independently at 5 years old...  I sent her for piano lessons again... this time, again it lasted for a few months....  Reason also because of Mummy being lazy to send her there for just 45 minutes lesson...  so here she is.... still not able to play the piano...

she wanted me to teach her a few tunes.....

a very keen learner indeed....

my faithful piano of more than 30 years.....

Seeing how keen she was to learn, Daddy suggested that we should let her resume piano lessons again...  Either I teach her, or we get a piano teacher to come to our house.... this will save us the time and trouble of ferrying her for the classes.....  Hmmmm.....  let me give it some thoughts first.....
