We started our morning by taking a cab to the special pineapple cake shop which we have been yearning and longing for soooo long.... The cab driver was very sweet. He drove us there, accompanied us into the shop, waited for us and then drove us to our next destination i.e. Wu Fen Pu (a wholesale market for shoes and clothes)... We were lucky as the shop was willing to deliver our boxes of pineapple cakes to our hotel, so that saves us one trip of going back to the hotel....
We arrived Wu Fen Pu too early and most of the shops were still closed... browsed around and bought some stuff and then took a cab back to the hotel to keep our stuff before continuing part 2....
our breakfast which we didn't quite like since it was eaten fresh last night... but because we woke up late and didn't have time for a "sumptuous" breakfast before proceeding with our itinerary...
a picture outside taiwan storyland....
it's been a while since we saw and tasted quickly bubble tea! they used to be so popular in singapore many years back... so we decided to try them here... bought it from wu fen pu before we took a cab back to our hotel... it was drizzling then...
playing with my camera while waiting for my sis to sort out her stuff...
our bubble tea... yummy!
we saw this "demonstration" on our way out for our snacks...
i love the intestine mee sua and stinky toufu.. the mee sua tasted exceptionally nice with more vinegar, more chilli and more garlic....
yumzzzzz........
underground shopping mall at taipei main station
streets of ximending... taipei's orchard road....
with lots of 台湾小吃.... this mushroom's one of my favourite... a pity we shared and i only ate this once... i could have finished the entire cup myself cos it was really delicious!
yummy to the max and healthy too!
the fruits didn't look too "clean" so we didn't dare buy it... but we tried the dumplings... great especially when eaten hot and with chilli sauce!
stinky toufu in sticks... mmm....
my happy sis!
(left) took a picture of the dustbin as it looked quite cute... (right) taiwanese youngsters are so sporting... the couple was playing a game to win the drinks...
we got free samples too... this choco soya bean milk tastes kinda weird...
dinner at the modern toilet restaurant...
interesting setting... tables were bath tubs and basins while seats were toilet bowls...
(left) our seats... (right) our table...
menu... food here is not expensive...
this is not a toilet bowl, but a wash basin, at a certain height with mirror above... i deliberately took this angle as if this is a toilet bowl...
our beef dish.. i cannot remember the name...
our lasagne...
we deliberately ordered 2 different set meals to share so that we can try different varieties...
(left) my seat... poor thing... i sat on her pretty face!... lolz...
eeeewww!!!...
what does my drink look like? and what does deb's drink look like?.... eeeww....
we left the restaurant feeling very satisfied... meal was good and we thought it was quite an interesting experience to be eating out of a toilet bowl... hahaha!!! but i'm sure some of you cannot accept this right? lol!!!
this hair salon looks quite pro... a pity i didn't have time to do my hair here...
it was halloween and these younsters were all dressed up and having fun in ximending... i love seeing them this way...
look at this "vampire"... he's so cute... he posed for me!
(right) gosh... he's so bloody... in fact, he's face is even more well made-up.. but he was too quick for me... before i could take his front view, he already zipped off...
back in our room... we decided to try taiwanese beer, so we bought taiwan beer and tsingdao beer to drink in the hotel room.. we even bought tid-bits to go along with the beer...
"mister donut" donuts for our breakfast... the "flower" donut taste unique... it's very chewy inside... yumzzz.... no wonder the queue was always very long...
onigiri for breakfast too... i love this flavour... tuna with pork floss... we prefer to buy some snacks for our breakfast as we always sleep in till quite late... must relax ourselves ma... heehee...
