I attended my very first baking class today at Phoon Huat with my friend Pat.... I was very excited about it as this will be the first time I am trying to bake, other than those days during Home Econs class in Secondary 1 & 2... and the other time when I did the Steamed Sponge Cake with Amanda; which turned out a flop... :(
Today's bake was Tiramisu and Rich Chocolate Cake..... mmmm..... yummy!
on the way to school... can't wait to drop her off so that i can quickly go for my baking class...
pat & i....patrick, our instructor, checking our filling for tiramisu....the "pro" at work... mixing the choc for choc cake...tiramisu is now ready for consumption.... it looks lovely...and so is the rich choc cake... notice the cracked surface... according to patrick, the top must be cracked..... cake was delicious! crispy and chewy on the outside, warm & moist on the inside.... it's heaven....me and my proud creation... anxiously waiting for babe & daddy to be back to show them and let them have a taste....and babe was surely attracted to the choc aroma the moment she stepped into the house...she had the honour to have the first taste of it...and now the tiramisu... babe didn't quite like the cocoa powder on top as she said it was bitter.... check out the choc crumbs on her lips!what's left of my tiramisu after distributing to mum & dad and sis.....
Pat and I enjoyed the baking class and we will be attending more in the near future.... Oh by the way, Pat is already a pro at this, but she's so sweet to come along with me for the classes.....
