HAPPY 45th BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!!!
We celebrated National Day with dinner at Empire State... I have seen on Janie's blog where she and her family have been dining here many times and the food looks yummy and ambience very nice... so we decided to give it a try today.....
we were lucky so be given this seat... other groups of 3 were not allowed to sit here.... maybe we looked "fierce" enough and our faces had words "you better give it to me or else...." written on it..... haha....
can you see both of them doing the statue of liberty pose?....
my hot mocha... the picture on the menu looked like a tall cup, but instead it was such a short cute cup... playing with my camera... (left) with flash, (right) without flash....
the salmon tartar was delicious....
another family photo..... pardon my looks... was too lazy to put on make-up....
the herb chicken was ubber tender and delicious.....
look at amanda... she can't wait to try it....
bbq ribs.... super delicious.... and i heard the ribs came from the same source as tony romas.....
buffalo wings....
a satisfied amanda...
i look so awful in this picture... but decided to put this up because i thought the angle daddy took my photo made my hairstyle look good... haha....
finger licking good....
and very soon, everything on the plate was entirely wiped out... this shows how nice the food was.... *drools*.....
did you realise that it is not the statue of liberty but a monkey instead?.... i love the monkey, it's sooo cute...
i love the light too.... hmmm... i seem to like everything here.... :))
and boston brownie for dessert.... can you imagine ice cream on a sizzling hot plate?.... interesting ya?....
and a photo with mediacorp artiste, evelyn tan, before we left.... she was here for dinner with her hubby, daryl... didn't take a picture with her hubby as he had gone to the washroom....
Went home after dinner and when we were watching TV, we heard a lot of noise outside, and hence all of us ran out to take a look... so typical of Singaporeans ya?... hahaha....
the fire engines, police cars, ambulances etc driving past the main road as part of the national day parade celebration... and it was a funny sight as we saw many neighbours also running out to peep.... and amanda enjoyed herself as the police and firemen etc started waving to us....
It was an interesting experience for Amanda and she enjoyed herself without even attending the National Day Parade.....
