Randoms of the week...

father and daughter bonding... at home right after school...  :))

dinner at bosses restaurant...  amanda and daddy both ate fish congee, while i ate the dan dan noodles...  no pictures of the porridge as i was stopped by the captain as she saw me taking photos of the porridge... no photography of food allowed in this restaurant...  how weird...

fetched amanda from school and both of us went for japanese lunch at sakae sushi...  yumzzz and she thoroughly enjoyed herself...

First Day of School

School starts today... and it's the first time that Amanda is attending the morning session... so a few days before school reopened, we started training her to sleep early and wake up early since she has to wake up at 6am from now on...  Everything went smoothly today and Amanda was on schedule... so we will try a little later tomorrow, at 6.10am.... with the end in mind at 6.30am....

Time passes really quickly in the mornings, as soon, it was time to fetch Amanda from school...  Daddy and I picked her up from school together and Amanda said she felt like eating Teochew porridge...

back home....  all of us enjoying our durian ice cream from the ice cream man who comes to our estate to sell ice cream, almost every day..

One Last Fling!

No, your eyes are not playing tricks on you... Yes, it's one last fling, before school reopens tomorrow....  heehee...  We decided to have our last fling at Muthu's Flavours at Dempsey...

Well, the day started a little wrong...  It was a busy day for Daddy, yet his car's keyless go battery went dead when he was at his workplace and I had to drive my car to his workplace to let him use my car as he had to go several places later.  He transferred his barang barang to my car, and then arranged for the car to be towed to the workshop.  Towing costs almost S$200, mind you...  really cut throat!  Whereas for me...  I had to call a cab from Daddy's workplace and rush for my first Japanese lesson, all by 10am!!  A consolation was I got a Mercedes cab when I dialled for a normal Comfort cab...  :))  After class, I had to take a cab home, and then call another cab in the late afternoon to collect Daddy's car from the workshop when ready.... 

Phew!! What a rush day. Thank goodness Amanda had no school today, otherwise, I wonder how I was going handle all these happening at the same time.....

Happy 2011!

We woke up very early today and had breakfast at Sloane Court once again, to welcome 2011.  This time, Kakak came along with us.  After breakfast, we headed for our Buddhist New Year Prayer Meeting together with Kongkong and Mama. Oh by the way, did I tell you Kongkong and Mama are really happening?  They were given VIP tickets to watch a concert and also to join in the Countdown at Marina Bay Sands!  Can you imagine that?!  Hence, they almost could not get up on time for the New Year's meeting...  :))  After the meeting, we headed to pay respects to our ancestors since it's the new year of 2011.  Kakak helped to clean up the shrines...

It was a very meaningful way to start 2011... Family bonding through early breakfast, followed by getting ourselves spiritually recharged and last but not least, fillial piety to our ancestors.... Hmmm.... sense of satisfaction achieved....
