HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010.....

A lovely traditional English breakfast at Sloane Court Hotel to begin the New Year....  Daddy and I have been here some 15 years ago for breakfast and we simply adored the place.....  Thanks to Sara's mum, Serene, for refreshing our memory once again....  After seeing her lovely brekkie photos yesterday, we decided to bring Amanda here to try their English Breakfast today... 

amanda was sleeping when she was changed and she remained sleeping from the home sofa to the car and only woke up when we arrived at the hotel...  wakie wakie babieee... time for brekkie....  :)

One disadvantage of going out for breakfast is that you have to wake up really early in order to make it for breakfast (we usually prefer brunch or tunch or dinner)... and it is a real big challenge for Amanda to get up early... However, today was an exception cos it's 01.01.2010 and we wanted to kick off the New Year with a nice Breakfast.....

We entered the place and the same feeling and memories we had 15 years ago came flooding back... totally de ja vu....  the whole place is just so English, so peaceful, so quiet and so traditional...

we love the way they presented the food, esp the bread, jam & butter...  so english and so traditional...

the standard breakfast set comes with 2 toasts, 2 eggs, ham/bacon/sausage, a pot of coffee/tea and a glass of orange juice...  not bad!

After brekkie, we proceeded to Mandai Columbarium to pay respects to our ancestors...

The afternoon was spent at Senja Kaikan for the New Year Gongyo session...

We had planned to go cycling and inline skating in the evening but it suddenly rained cats and dogs so all plans had to be shelved...  so here I am blogging....   

What a wonderful way to start off the year 2010...  A Lovely English Breakfast to start off, paying respects to ancestors and then attending religious New Year's Meeting....  EXCELLENT!

Let's hope 2010 will be an even more wonderful year than 2009!!!
