More Crabs!

More crabs for us again....  This time we decided to reach there early at 5pm, but we were in for a SHOCK!  The queue was almost 6 metres long!!!  Can you imagine that??!!  I almost gave up but Daddy said since we have come all the way here, we should just wait.  Finally got a table 1 hour later at 6pm and we still had to wait 1hr 15mins for the food....  Gosh....  we were famished!  But as usual, after the meal, we would tell ourselves it was well worth wait....  :))
thank goodness the food came slightly earlier than expected...
being mischievous and having some fun while waiting for the food...
this dish came first...
within seconds when this dish was placed on the table, both of them picked up their chopsticks and "attacked"....  hahahaa!
yummy chilli crab
enjoying the 2nd dish
my all-time favourite!
yummy food which was worth the wait...

That's all folks!!!

tea time at mc cafe....

can you imagine we hopped from starbucks to bakerzin to durian cafe and finally mama settled for mc cafe?  mama said starbucks was to sunny and aircon too warm...  bakerzin's seats were not comfortable as the cushion seats were taken and we were allocated hard seats....  then we decided to have a durian feast i.e. have all things made from durian...  we got so excited choosing our seats etc only to realise their coffee was out of stock...  oh gosh...  so after 45minutes of choosing and walking, we ended at mc cafe....  what a joke!  haha....  :))

Santa's Visit!!!

Amanda told me last week that she doesn't believe in Santa Claus as she has never ever received a present from him before!  Mummy here, told her that she didn't receive any presents because Santa only gives presents to those who are NICE and not NAUGHTY!  Also told her that she must make a wish to Santa otherwise, he wouldn't know what she wanted....  hehehe....  *grins*...

Hence, she wrote Santa a letter and sealed up the envelope, without letting me read it.... *grins again*....  She briefly told me the contents (though she with-held some) saying that she reminded Santa not to go to the wrong unit as there are 3 houses in our estate with the same number...

I bought her a Sock so that she could put the letter in for Santa and we also reminded her to place the Sock beside her before she went to bed on Christmas Eve!!!  :)))  She was very skeptical about this whole thing...  and she asked me how would Santa come, since we do not have a chimney?...

The next morning when she awoke, she realised her Sock was missing and starting hunting for it....  Here's where I decided to take lots of pictures to capture her expressions and this will be a precious moment which I don't think I will be able to capture again from next year onwards....
her sock had been moved to the christmas tree! and can you see a present hidden behind the tree?
she came down sleepily, and saw her sock!! and.....  a present behind the tree!!!!!!!!!!!  she rubbed her eyes several times as she couldn't believe what she saw!!
a very happy amanda!!!
can you see her expression as she was unwrapping the gift? disbelief but with great joy!
she took quite a while to unwrap as i made her take so many photos which got her quite irritated since she was so eager to know what santa got for her...  :))
and it's a lego set!...  exactly what she wished for!!!
she didn't tell santa which model she wanted, but just on christmas eve when we brought her to lego land, she saw this and pointed to me, asking me to buy it for her... but i didn't.. and we came home with only the 2 lego sets which daddy bought for her....
admiring her present in disbelief! she asked me "mummy, how come santa knows i like this lego?"....  can you see her mouthing the word "cool" in the above photo?...
then she remembered her letter and took it out from the sock to check...
she went to a corner as she didn't want me to read her letter...
the letter remained sealed and she gave a satisfied look... i told her santa doesn't need to open letters to read and know the contents... heehee...
very happy amanda holding her present proudly as she knew she had been nice and not naughty, to deserve this lovely present from santa!
santa's note to her (written in santa's handwriting) which she cut out to remind herself constantly...

After she overcame her joy and disbelief, she suspiciously asked me this question "Mummy, why is the present wrapped in Toys R Us and you just went there a few days agon on your own without bringing me there? It is too much of a coincidence, Mum?"... I replied, "Ermm... well Toys R Us is the largest toy shop in Singapore. Where else would Santa get his toys from but here?" *grins grins*....

Guess what is Amanda's wish for next year????

Now.... that's a very big challenge.... thought Daddy and Mummy as we watched our little darling beam with pride and joy.......  Hmm....  naivety and innocence does make one happier and blissful.... :)

Well... as for her wish.... Let's see how it goes... whether she's Naughty or Nice.... *smiles*...

Well done Amanda! You have been a good girl this year....
