Day 8 of Reno & Secret Recipe Lunch

Cementing the floor and smoothening of walls by Day 8... Now... is this considered fast or slow?....  Hmm, I don't know... haha!!

our delicious lunch at secret recipe... both amanda and daddy ate crayfish pasta whilst i ate laksa... amanda ordered a fish soup bowl too... the soup cost S$8.90 but it certainly isn't worth the money...

First Day of Renovation & Arrival of my iPad2

We have decided to extend our backyard to utilise the space.  Can you imagine we've been staying here for 13 years yet I've been to the backyard for less than 10 times!  Renovation starts today.  We have deliberately chosen 18 May to start the renovation as it was also 18 May 13 years ago that we shifted into this lovely home of ours...

yippie! my ipad2 arrived today... it's a mother's day gift from daddy to me... a pity the parcel couldn't arrive on time...

GE2011 & Happy Mother's Day

After 9 days of rallying, it's finally time for us to cast our votes on 7 May 2011. As Amanda was very keen to know how voting takes place, we decided to take her along after numerous pleas... of course kakak had to tag along too since Amanda wasn't allowed to enter the polling station.

on a sidenote... amanda was not able to make it for emily's birthday party last week... so we decided to get her a gift and pass it to her when she meets her... of course, i got the same thing for amanda as well... hehe...

328 Katong Laksa & More Rallies

Since Amanda didn't get to meet Nicole Seah in person last night, we decided to try our luck another time at her rallies.. this time, at Mountbatten.  We had 328 Katong Laksa at Katong before heading to Mountbatten for the rally.

Rally was exceptionally crowded as usual, and this time, we didn't manage to get the front row. Hence we stood watching from a distance. After standing for an hour or so, we decided to make our way home since we didn't hear NS's voice... Note, I said "hear" because we were just too far from the stage to see anything.  We took a really long walk to our car and just as we were turning out of the carpark, my friend told me that NS appeared....  Arghh! What luck!

Our First GE Rally...

I know SA1 is just round the corner... but what to do, the Government chose GE to fall during this period and with so much Rah Rah and Rallies going on, my little darling got all so excited...  In fact, she was so into the General Election that she stayed up will way past midnights watching YouTubes including all the snippets of the rallies for the past few days... In fact, even when the rallies were showing LIVE, she was also watching with me via the internet... Gosh!...  She was exceptionally impressed with Nicole Seah and she begged us to bring her to the NSP rally knowing that Nicole Seah would be there...  Daddy and I were more keen to drive to the East to watch Workers' Party... but what to do?  Our darling comes first...  :)

By 9.30 pm, Nicole still wasn't there... Amanda was so excited that she walked to the person in charge and asked if NS was coming... The guy told her she was sick and might not be coming... Boi was she disappointed... Poor girl!  The guy saw her looking so sad that he gave her a free flag...  See she's looking so happy now...
