Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

We had 2 small birthday celebrations for Daddy this year..... 

The first one during the weekend before the actual day...  We had a simnple dinner and a cake...  However, the cake was rather impromptu as it was actually a complimentary voucher Daddy received from the Uni...  Voucher had expired a week ago... but we tried our luck at Prima Deli and they gave it to us!!!...  so yeah...  Daddy had a birthday cake...  hahaha!!!

Daddy had to work late on his actual birthday, so we were not able to go out for dinner...  My parents (Dad & Mum) came over and passed him a red packet for his birthday and they went home after playing a while with Amanda....

We were lucky to squeeze in a simple Birthday Supper at Ah Mei's Cafe just before Daddy's birthday was over....

"tissue" which i ate for the very first time...  and i love it!!!

both of them sure look very happy!!!

Though it was just a simple birthday celebration, Daddy felt very satisfied and he enjoyed every moment of fmaily bliss..........

Random Pictures For The Week

I have been really very busy the entire week....  So nothing much to write, just some random pictures for the week.... 

My hairstyle before Shunji Matsuo....  got my hair styled FOC at one of the carts in a shopping mall...   I had actually bought this curling rod 2 years ago.  Quite expensive compared to those sold at Watsons, but the quality's really good...  However, I haven't tried using it since I bought, as I was afraid of burning myself....  So today, I happened to pass by, and asked for a free lesson and trial...  LOL!

short fringe with much shorter hair....  i didn't quite like how i look in my new hairstyle, especially on photos... but strangely, everyone praised me in my new hairstyle and said it made me look younger and slimmer...  and most importantly, hubby was full of praises for me.... hahaha!!!

i bought this hae bee hiam cookies...  supposedly for cny, but i finished the entire tin in 2 days...  it's really delicious!

StressBallz

Amanda came back from school with these 2 balls today....  one for her and one for me..... 

she wrote the initials to differentiate our balls...  AS hers, and AK mine...

She has been feeling very stressed out these few weeks...  probably due to the sudden influx of homework and the sudden change of patterns.  So when she saw the stress ball at the bookshop, she immediately bought one so that she could SQUEEEEZE it whenever she's feeling stressed or vexed.....  Poor thing...  8 year old kids these days have got so much to handle... 

As she was happily walking away from the bookshop with the ball in her hand, she decided to get one for me too; hence she immediately turned back to the bookshop.... 

She told me, "Mummy, I know nowadays you are also very stressed, so I also bought one ball for you to SQUEEEEZE when you are angry or stressed...  See, one for you and one for me....  We squeeze when we are frustrated ok?".....

My heard melted when I heard that...  I was so touched by her little gesture....  She's such an adorable child...  *hugzz*

    

Amanda's First CCA

Rise and shine....  It's time for Amanda's very first CCA in school at 9 am this morning.... 

all excited about her first cca....

Tonight, she (my maid) broke the news to me....  She told me she misses home and wants to call it quits!  Then after while, at last she revealed the true reason...  So she wants to work in Hong Kong as the salary there is more than double that in Singapore....  

I was in a state of shock and confusion when I heard this...  Why? Why???!! Why must this happen to me?  I've always envied those whose maid stayed with them for years and years....  Why can't I have this luck?...  and what a timing too!  I could have made other plans if she had told me this a month ago!!!

I managed to recover from my shock after 5 minutes and quickly regained my composure...  Ok, if she wants to go back, so be it....

Hmmm....  it's time for Maid Hunt again....  and I've got to start all over again after 2 years 9 months...  ARGHHHH!!!!!   It's a real headache!  Now, we cannot even decide if we should continue with Indonesian or try out a Filipino....  *sighs*
