Newton Food Centre

We had supper at Newton Food Centre today. It has been ages since we came here and the moment we reached there, the nostalgic feeling returned.... Amanda initially wanted to order crabs... but I stopped her as I am on a diet and not supposed to eat so much... which explains why I ate most of the veg......

Birthday Party

We attended Zhihong's birthday party today.... same school as Amanda but different class... Zhihong is the son of Daddy's friend, Dr & Mrs Lew, so that is how we were invited to the party.... Amanda met many of her schoolmates and ex-kindergarten friends... However, Amanda said she still prefers playing with her current classmates.....

Saturday Night Movie

Kongkong and Mama came over this morning and passed us some yummy goodies before Amanda went for her enrichment classes.

We watched ICE AGE 3 at night.... Show was hilarious and all of us enjoyed ourselves very much and Amanda and Daddy were laughing so loudly and happily throughout the show.

Toy Fair in School

There was a toy fair in the school today and as usual Babe will always make sure she buys something whenever there's a fair... be it book fair, stationery fair, toy fair etc... and today, she bought the following items :-

this cute little "stress ball" for mummy.... she said i can squeeze on it real hard if i am feeling stressed.... how sweet of my little darling...... probably she knows she's the one stressing me out.... haha!

and some "magic pills".... which will supposedly grow into little "monsters" when put into water.... in case you are wondering why it's cut up, well.... babe bought the whole thing and gave half pack to her classmate anqi..... my babe's definitely displaying the spirit of sharing..... :)

and last but not least... she bought the "rubber jumping ball" though it doesn't resemble a ball at all... this is supposed to "jump" up into the air when overturned.... i personally feel this buy is not worth it cos it isn't worth the amount she paid..... guess my babe certainly has got to learn the value of money.....

Babe's New Toy... Chilli Red Sony PSP

Today is Youth Day, so no school.... I brought Amanda for her medical examination for the purpose of our NZ plans.... Daddy will be going for his tomorrow and I will be doing mine on Wednesday. After her medical, we went for breakfast and then shopping.... I had not planned to buy her a Sony PSP at all. Initial plan was just to get her a new game cartridge for her Nintendo DS Lite.

After buying the game for her DS, we continued walking around and when we went into Sony Gallery, I saw the CHILLI RED PSP and fell in love with it (the colour, not the game...) and I decided to buy it for Amanda!

Amanda was so shocked that I bought it for her without any reason as she has been asking me to buy it for some time but I said "no"... so she asked me innocently "Mummy, did I do anything to make you so happy today? Why are you buying this for me all of a sudden?" I just looked at her and smiled saying "no particular reason.... just buying for fun".... Amanda kept saying "thank you mummy, thank you!!!"

Playtime at Gabrielle's House

Today, Gabrielle invited Amanda over to her house to play. As tomorrow is a school holiday (Youth Day), I said "yes" to Amanda.... She was of course elated! Hence I drove Amanda to King Albert Park Cold Storage and bought a box of chocolates for Amanda to bring over to Gabrielle's place... Later in the afternoon, Gabrielle's mummy also invited Amanda to stay over for dinner and even offered to drive her home after dinner.... how sweet....

Farmart

We decided to drive to Farmart to get some chicken wings and otak. Amanda was of course every excited as she can now get to feed the goats. A simple impromptu outing to buy food turned out to be so fun.....

In the end we did not buy otak as the old woman forgot our order... she's a queer old lady... initially she told us to place order and collect later, which we did... and when we went to collect, she forgot all about it and we got a earful from her.... she spoke in hokkien "i'm already so old, how can you expect me to remember your order? just buy on the spot!".... haha!!! we smiled as walked away....

Supper at Old Town Coffee

It was almost 11pm and we were hungry. So we decided to have supper at Old Town Coffee which was just within stone's throw from our home. Although Amanda was feeling very tired and sleepy, her appetite was still good!!!

You can imagine how much food is in her little stomach.... She was certainly satisfied and the moment she got into the car, she dozed off to dreamland with a very satisfied look on her face.... zzzzzzzzz........

Daughter's Love

This evening, I went to fetch Babe from school as usual.... and the moment she saw me, she ran to me saying "MUMMY!....." Then she passed her schoolbag to me and held my hands and said "Mummy, I bought something for you.... guess what?... It's a secret...." As I was driving, she showed me a little bit of what she bought and made me guess again...

Lime Seeds

This morning, Amanda asked me for seeds of fruits saying she wanted to bring the seeds to school. She told me one of her classmates brought APPLE seeds to grow.... I didn't know we could grow apples here.... :) It was a last minute thingy, so I decided to pluck the limes from our garden and give her some seeds to bring to school instead.
