Fun with Monopoly, The Disney Edition....

Amanda enjoys playing Monopoly with us. Last night, before bedtime, we played a round of Monopoly and we had so much fun together..... This Monopoly was a gift from Daddy's friend and I find it is very sweet for girls as it is the Disney Edition and it's all about Cinderella, Snow White, Beauty & the Beast, Alice in Wonderland, Little Mermaid, Pinocchio, Aladdin, 101 Dalmatians, Lion King, Bambi, Toy Story, Tarzan, Peter Pan etc. and we were buying Castles and Cottages instead of the usual houses in the traditional Monopoly.... Quite refreshing!

Mission Mars, Sailbot & Tunch

Babe attended Mission Mars and Sailbot Robotics Class from 9.30am to 12.45pm today (no pictures to post as there was nothing to bring back from both sessions).
After the Robotics session, we fetched Amanda and proceeded for TUNCH at her favourite restaurant... BOSSES. She enjoyed her favourite Garoupa Congee whilst Daddy & I had our favourite Tim Sum. I ordered my faves i.e. Har Gouw, Queen Siew Mai, Mango Prawn Roll, Char Siew Pau, Egg Tart, Szechuan Dumplings, Shanghai Dumplings, Abalone Rice Roll etc.... only took a few pictures in the beginning, as after that we were too busy eating as the food arrived and the table also got a little messy...

we detoured to the bear shop before going home....

When we reached home, each of us had a cooling coconut to cool us from the scorching heat outside...

amanda enjoying her coconut

guess what she did to the coconut after drinking?

Fun with Chocolate

Enrolled Amanda for the Chocolate Making class... when I told her classmate's mummy that Amanda is attending, she immediately registered her daughter for it too... so here they are.... Amanda and Rae again....
oh by the way, don't you find Amanda's apron cute?.... I deliberately bought it for her for this choc making session.... oooh... I just love the piggy... and of course, the person wearing it i.e. my darling BABE!!!

The girls had so much fun and they are looking forward to their next baking session i.e. cornflake cookies and chocolate tarts.....

Messing Around with Paint

Our helper was trying to do some touch-up painting work on the walls. Amanda, the "little helper" was very mischievous and wanted to try painting the walls too. I refused to allow initially but she kept begging me saying "Mummy please.... pretty please???....." after much persuasion, I finally gave in to her request.
(left) amanda after painting... rosy cheeks, sweaty face and messy hair... but looking really satisfied....
look at how engrossed our little helper is.... and look at the paint all over her!

Lunch & Playground at Sakae Sushi

We had lunch at Sakae Sushi today. To our pleasant surprise, this Sakae Sushi had a playground within their compound. Amanda had lots of fun there, though she's a little overgrown for it.... Daddy acted like a kid too! Can you find him????

Botanic Garden & Hort Park

Our morning today was spent at the Botanic Garden... We haven't been there for a while and Amanda enjoyed feeding the fishes... she ended up spending S$2 for 2 capsules of fish food for fish feeding... The weather in the morning till noon was very cool (especially after the rain) and we could feel the cool wind blowing against our faces.... we loved it!

After lunch, Daddy brought us to Hort Park. This was our first time to the Hort Park. Despite the scorching heat coming back, Amanda likes the place so much probably because of the vast open space for her to run around. We enjoyed ourselves sitting on the swing amidst the peacefulness & serenity... Soon it was time to go home.... Amanda was rather reluctant to leave this place.... and we promised that we will bring her here again another time....

While driving home, I suddenly had the urge to buy a rattan rocking chair for the garden. So, to satisfy my desire..... I brought Amanda to Ikea and we bought this......

we are very satisfied with our buy!!!

Babe's Arty Funky Art Camp

Babe attended her full-day Arty Funky Art Camp today.... She has been very excited about this camp ever since I told her I had enrolled her for it and has been eagerly looking forward to it since then.... In fact, she was unable to sleep the whole night yesterday and kept asking me if it was already morning. She was so cute, she even asked me "Mummy, what happens if I wake up late in the afternoon?" and a few other questions. After trying to sleep for 2 hours, she suddenly jumped up and shoutly loudly "I GIVE UP! I am going to stay awake the whole night till morning...." But strangely, shortly after she said those words, she fell asleep....
It usually takes me a very very long time to get her out of bed. However, today, she sprung out of bed with eyes wide open, and woke me up instead! Guess what was the first question she asked?...... "Mummy, am I late?....." hehe.... how cute..... Immediately after breakfast, we set off to our destination amid the morning peak hour traffic and ERP charges etc. Lunch and 2 tea breaks were provided for, so I did not have to worry if my babe ever gets hungry. After lunch, they were also provded with 1 hour of guided GYM activities before continuing with part 2 of the Art Camp.

i only managed to capture a few shots as it was a full day session.....

It was indeed very fun and Amanda enjoyed herself so much the entire day.

Haircut at William's.....

This afternoon, Daddy & I brought Amanda to have her hair trimmed by William.... she enjoyed being "pampered" and "fussed around" by him while we sipped our coffee and waited for her patiently at the waiting lounge of the salon; knowing she is in good hands.... Amanda was extremely pleased when William praised her on her hair texture and treated her like an adult.... at the end of it, he even gave her sweets and lollipop; which made her even more happy! After the hair cut, we went for coffee & snacks.

Critical Thinking

Amanda looking so excited before the class......

Babe began her 1st day of school holidays with a "critical thinking session" which I enrolled for her. The write-up seemed impressive, which was why I enrolled her for it. However, at the end of the session, I found it quite fundamental and not very effective and value for money (though Amanda enjoyed her class very much)... Also, besides the fees that we paid, we had to pay the trainer an addtional S$5 for course materials. However, I was very disappointed when Amanda brought back the course material that was used for the entire 1.5hour session..... 1 sheet of 1 sided A4 Paper with 7 circles on it and the rest were their advertising brochures!!!..... We felt so cheated; S$5 for 1 sheet of A4 paper as course material..... :(
